Workgroup:

Colorado WET Testing Guidelines

Scenic landscape with a large mountain range in the background, a body of water in the middle, and rolling grassy fields with scattered bushes in the foreground.

Overview

The objectives of this workgroup include:

  • Clarify what federal regulations require for WET testing and how Colorado’s policy differs

  • Explore QA/QC measures and consistency of laboratory WET results

  • Assess whether recent data indicate an uptick in failed WET tests and identify possible causes

  • Identify opportunities for improving Colorado’s WET testing approach through regulatory, technical or statistical judgements

The workgroup consists of a technical committee comprised of utilities, consultants, and WET laboratories. The technical committee is working through the workgroup's workplan. The technical committee meets monthly and provides updates to the larger workgroup quarterly.

If you are interested in joining the technical committee, please reach out to Andrea Stucky Acob at astuckyacob@englewoodco.gov.
